You have a very nice 2002 turbo!
Mine is nr 1171, I am from Geneve, switzerland.

This is my 2002 Turbo from 1974 (Nr 1171) with another Turbo (nr 0450).



A meeting I organized in Switzerland, september 2007.

I try to register all surviving BMW 2002 Turbo worldwide.
So far, I have about 400 cars surviving.
If you don't mind, I would be interested to know the number (vin/chassis number) of your car to see I have it on my list.

Hi All,

Good to hear from a 02's enthusiast from Switzerland. When I was searching my Turbo I found some units for sale in Switzerland but it is very difficult to register a car in Spain bought out of the EEC market.

VIN number of my car is 4290876. This car was first registered in The Netherlands, then UK and today is registered in Spain.

Some other Turbos for your file:

VIN 4290972: today in Norway. 4 speed.



VIN 4291661, so this is one of the last Turbo ever produced (if I am not wrong, the last VIN number of the Turbo serie was 4291672). Last January, this car had its engine disassembled in Italy.



Vin 4291276. 5 speed Turbo in Italy.

Fdovargas, yes it was me who contacted you about the Colombian Turbos. I eventually got the info that the 3 Turbos exported to Colombia were #1326, #1466 and #1478.
I still don’t have pictures of those cars unfortunately.

R1190, good to know about the VIN of your car. I had it already in my register under license plate 91-DN-65, Mr Smits, indeed from Roosendal - Holland.
So it’s quite an international car now !
You will be interested to know that closest registered, one before yours, is #0875 in France.

#0972 was in Belgium, than UK and obviously now in Norway. Thanks for the info.
#1661 is new for me!
#1276 is known, registered to a Mr. Francesco F.

So with your addition, I have now 401 cars registered and still some to find….long job to find all survivors.

Besides yours, I know only 2 other Turbos in Spain. One, unidentified, registered 4622DJN and also a race configured #0557. I guess there must be some more..

Anyway congratulations for your car, #0876 is a gorgeous Turbo!
