Que significa modelo E-81 ???

Muy buenas a todos,

Tengo la siguiente duda: Que significa 118d E-81 o E-87???? No me había fijado nunca en este detalle hasta que me ha llegado un presupuesto donde pone modelo de coche: 118d E-81, y me he fijado que para entrar en este foro pone serie 1 E-87.

A ver si me ayudais porque es de un presupuesto bastante interesante.

BMW lleva desde los años 60 llamando a sus coches en su codigo interno de factoria o de “guerra” con la letra E XX, la E significa Entwicklung (Desarrollo) hasta ahora los codigos de casi todo lo fabricado y lo futuro de BMW, tiene los siguientes codigos:

Los novatos en la marca habitualmente se preguntan qué son esos códigos que mencionamos en el foro, que empiezan con "E" y son seguidos por 2 dígitos.

Se trata de los códigos que identifican a cada una de las generaciones de cada serie de BMW.

La letra "E" hace referencia a la palabra alemana "Entwicklung", que significa "evolución" o "desarrollo" (Charly, corregime si no es así!!).

Los códigos "E" cambian con cada rediseño significativo de cada serie, o con la introducción de una nueva serie.

Los "facelift" que se hacen cuando promedia la vida de cada generación, normalmente no generan un cambio en el código "E".

Hasta el año 2000 aproximadamente se utilizaba un único código para todas las variantes de carrocería de una misma serie (sedán, coupé, touring, cabrio, etc). Así sucedió por ejemplo con el E30, E36 y E46. Apenas se distinguían por el sufijo (/1, /2, etc).

Sin embargo, en la actualidad BMW utiliza un código diferente para cada variante de cada serie. En la serie 3 actual, el E90 identifica al sedán, E91 al touring, E92 a la coupé y E93 al cabrio.

Los que se pregunten qué va a pasar cuando se acaben los 2 dígitos disponibles de la nomenclatura actual, les comento que BMW comenzará a identificar las futuras series con la letra "F". Así que tendremos "evoluciones" de BMW garantizadas por largo rato!!!
