BMW Will Revive M Coupe Nameplate for New Z4 Hardtop Date: 11-30-2005 MUNICH — BMW has confirmed it will build the Z4 Coupe Concept unveiled at the Frankfurt show in September. The top version of the car will carry the M Coupe nameplate last seen on the quirky hardtop version of the Z3 roadster. The new coupe will go on sale next summer. The standard Z4 coupe will have a new magnesium alloy 3.0-liter straight-six developing 261 horsepower, while the M Coupe will have the 338-hp, 3.2-liter straight-six engine from the BMW M3. The 3.0-liter version will reach 60 mph from rest in under 6 seconds; the 3.2 will shave a further second off this time. The M Coupe, like the recently announced M Roadster, will have a six-speed manual transmission. BMW is pitching the new M Coupe squarely against Porsche's new Cayman S and is expected to price the car aggressively to undercut the Porsche.

Jajajaajaja, ya veremos. Pero va a estar el tema muy, muy interesante.. El cayman lo fui a ver el otro día a la presentación oficial y tiene una pinta... de esos coches que parado sabes que tiene que correr mucho.... me llamarán (espero que pronto) para ir a probarlo. Ya contaré. el M con el chasis del Z tiene que ser un tiro de coche.... pero mucho...
