es la 8.1, y anuncia que es mas peuqeña, menos pesada y mas rápida, minimizando la distancia de frenado, los ruidos y las vibraciones en el pedal

Bosch has started production of an uprated version of its antilock braking system (ABS) that is also smaller, lighter, quieter and more efficient in operation than previous versions.
The new ABS 8.1 unit also reduces braking distances and produces less vibration in the pedal, Bosch says.
The main improvement is a more efficient control loop for the return pump motor, the speed of which can now be adjusted according to the driving position. This enabled engineers to use a smaller electric motor, which helped downsize the unit.
The pump and valve triggering were also optimised in the redesign and in its most compact version the volume of the hydraulic unit and add-on ECU is below a litre and weighs just 1.4kg.
The variable speed control provides a further reduction in pedal vibration and noise, and engineers suppressed the intensity of high-frequency noise.
On wet and icy roads, ABS 8.1 further reduces stopping distances and because the new pump unit consumes less power than previous units, it will not drain the electrical systems.
