Ya se comentó por aquí, y conocido de muchos, que Ford está mirando el sacarse de encima alguna de las marcas "premium" para conseguir pasta, que no están en una situación muy boyane. Pues se habló de que si Jaguar, que si Land Rover... y ahora por lo que parece, el punto de mira en Aston Martin. Since Aston Martin’s dealer network, product architecture and size are distinctly different from other Ford brands, it is the most logical and capital-smart divestiture choice. “The objective of any sale would be to position Aston Martin within a structure and resource base sufficient to allow it to reach its full potential, while enabling Ford to efficiently raise capital for its other brands.” Ford added, "Regarding our other Premier Automotive Group brands, we've made no decisions, as our review of strategic alternatives continues. However, we continue to be encouraged by Jaguar's progress and by the strength and consumer appeal of the Jaguar, Land_Rover and Volvo product lineups." The company said the decision didn’t guarantee the brand would be sold off, however. Dave Osborne, the UK Transport and General Workers’ Union (T&G) National Secretary for the car industry, said in a statement: "We understand that consideration of the sale of Aston Martin is part of Ford's strategic review, where all options are on the table but no decisions have yet been made. Aston Martin is an iconic brand and is rightly prized by Ford. "Whilst the future for Aston Martin is under review, our priority remains as always the safeguarding of members' jobs." Aston Martin builds its cars in a small plant adjacent to a Premier Automotive Group R&D Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Interesante, gracias ;-) Para vender algo, tienes que tener comprador, obviamente... así que lo siguiente a preguntar sería... ¿quién puede estar interesado en estos momentos en comprar una marca como Aston? ;-) Por una parte, podría venir muy bien a VAG... pero con los problemas que tienen en estos momentos, no creo que les sea rentable. ¿Algún gigante koreano?... ¿o competencia directa de Ford en EEUU?... ¿GM quizá? En fin, en fin... a ver en qué queda la cosa al final...
Hombre... el grupo VW ya tiene Bugatti, Lamborghini y Bentley, no sé si se atreverán a ir a por otra más... Nissan-Renault estaba interesada en Jaguar, oí decir... y es posible que también lo estuviera en AM... necesitan una marca "de culto", que ahora no tienen ninguna. Y luego tenemos los asiáticos... no sé quién se llevará el gato al agua, pero creo que ofertas por AM sí les van a llegar ;-)
...pues a mí ni la marca entera me hacía falta... con algún cochecillo de esos de test que tuvieran por ahí perdidos, me valía
