(aunque apenas se dejan ver) Por cierto corren rumores de un IS500 .... a lo M3 :mus- Y para los que les gusta sacar parecidos razonbles con BMW ... Esa antena "tiburon"... me da que es lo unico que tiene este coche parecido al BMW

Esto huele a comparativa IS350, 330i y C350 P) Sobre el "papel" el Lexus pinta como el nuevo sheriff pero ya veremos cuando llegue al mercado :-k
Si, yo también veo un manual-secuencial más apropiado para este coche, aparte que deberían ofrecer el IS 350 también con manual de 6v, ya que se presume va a ser un coche con bastante "toque deportivo", ojalá que no lo fastidien con el cambio. Por lo demás, me encanta el diseño, es de los más bonitos que han hecho los japosP) de Lexus, y en general. Saludos.

Pues seguro que no cuentas que la pantalla es TACTIL P) y desde ella puede contral AUDIO/NAVEGACION/CLIMATIZACION y de mas chorradas como en el I-Drive pero mas "intuitivo" .... y x cierto con el navegador el control de voz de serie.... x si no te quieres cansar de toketear los botoncitos... =D= Salu2

Cuidadín, que el de 300CV no creo que cueste menos de 50.000 eurillos, se anuncian muchas innovaciones pero también serán opcionales :mus- , aún así va a dar mucha guerra en el segmento.
En eso tienes razón... se habla que el IS300 President (con todo pa entendernos) saldra en EEUU x unos 45.000$ con lo que aquí andara entre los 45-50 mil €€€ x el tema de impuestos. De todas formas teniendo en cuenta el equipamiento que traera NO ESTÁ NADA MAL... para ser una marca premiun. Y lo q más me ha llamado la atención es que estan sacando nuevos modelos ... con un buen diseño y dan un gran salto respecto a los anterioires en todos los aspectos y SIN SUBIR DE PRECIO :mus- Mi no entender ](*,)

Certainly American companies seem to be tapping into a renewed focus on design...with cars like Chrysler's 300-C and its imposing front end, or the new Ford Mustang. Today on Driver's Edge, Rob Davidson looks at one manufacturer that's trying to reinvent itself. Lexus had a problem other manufacturers would love to have: well made cars, considered luxury vehicles, selling well to its target market, but a bit of a design also-ran. At this year's Detroit Auto Show they unveiled their first stab at a new design philosophy called L-finesse...a tad precious perhaps, but not a bad descriptor. The brand is being transformed from a shapeless bubble-car to a flowing, sleek techno machine. The interior is also being L-finessed although the inside of Lexus cars were always very luxurious and comfortable. Simon Humphries/Lexus Designer: "We've got a very sleek silhouette and this influences the face of the vehicle..." And this is the guy who's responsible for the re-design: Steven Humphries, a Brit who has found himself spearheading a major rebranding for a major Japanese luxury car. Simon Humphries/Lexus Designer: "We're going to take Lexus toward a leading edge technology and design but we're going to keep Lexus' finesse...slightly understated but at the same time it's got good taste." At the Toyota Design Dome near Nagoya Japan you can see how he developed his ideas in the clay model. In a room called The Cave, designers can sit in an ergonomic simulator and see a virtual image of the interior of the car they're building to test where all the knobs and buttons SHOULD be. At the Toyota car museum you can see the first vehicle ever manufactured by Toyota as it was then called. It would be several years before they replaced the "D" with a "T". This model AA from 1936 looks almost exactly like every American car being made at the time, and for years Toyota designs would be kind of dull and safe. When Lexus came into existence fifteen years ago they were on the cutting edge, but recently had begun to fade. Part of the globalization of the automotive market and the need to differentiate yourself. Simon Humphries/Lexus Designer: "I think the whole Global Market is going in that direction not just North American or Japan. The Global market is moving toward uniqueness and it's become a necessity you need uniqueness in design." As for the future, looking at the Lexus GS 450 H, the Lexus hybrid sedan we'll see in two years, you can see some of Humphries ideas percolating down already.
